The word Peace

The word peace to me, means happy things. I know this sounds kind of childish, but it reminds me of being relaxed, clouds, happy faces, the sky and things that make you feel at ease. Peace to me, makes me think that nothing can ever go wrong. It makes me feel like for once, everything will just stay calm and go smoothly. The word peace makes me just want to freeze time and stay in one moment forever. I know it sounds cheesy but peace is like me, imagining myself sitting in the clouds where nothing in the world can touch me and I am the only person staying still. Like time is passing by around me. When some hear the word peace it makes them feel like freedom has just been introduced to them. Like they dont have to listen to anyone or like they are free of all things that didn't give them rights, and that for once, they are their own and not under anyone else. And like I had said before, the word peace gives everyone the sense of happiness and a joyful feeling. It is a word that can put a smile one someones face when they are feeling down. This word to me has many meanings and can be explained in many different ways and can be interpreted as many different things.

  1. I like your interpretation of peace; Peace within one's self. However, the whole ideal of isolation is not one that I would describe it as. Peace to me means that you can fully acknowledge yourself, knowing that you are a good person, knowing that you have made a great impact in someone's life. Once you can be at peace with yourself, you can be at peace with others.

  2. I also think of peace as a kind of escape from the world: when you're able to avoid the momentary hassles and stresses and just have a moment to yourself. I think that we don't take enough time out of our day-to-day routines to just sit back and be alone in our own heads; it's a great way to relax and reflect on the different aspects of our lives.

  3. I loved how you say that you will want to freeze the world once you are totally happy and in peace, and I liked it because that is what happens to me, instead of going through all of these situations, it will be better to just stay in peace for ever. I also liked how you say that this significant word may put a smile on whoever face.

  4. Your comments aren't cheesy at all. I think we would all want the world to be like that, we just don't talk about enough. The word peace actually also makes me feel at ease but my personal world of peace is laying in a hammock listening to my favorite music looking up at the stars.

  5. To me it seems like to you peace is serenity. Which to me is a great way to see it i like to see it similarly but as in nature, birds singing, waves crashing, the wind blowing through the trees things like that.

  6. I agree with you. The word peace can make you feel wonderful emotions. I also think that the word peace means that a period of war and negative stuff has ended and something positive has started.

  7. I really liked how you explained how peace makes you feel.
Peace can often bring hostility and craziness. Its nice to see a good side to it.

  8. I just felt some kind of detachment from your description. I don't know if it's childish but is one of the most visual descriptions I've read in the blogs and in a very terse language. I would like to feel every day like that, I don't know maybe mentally numb or just away from all responsibilities, problems, perceptions, judgements, visual construct, the world. Just like you said it in a cloud, maybe high above where no one could even notice it even less touch it. Peace maybe at the end our end, but for know I also like the struggle and enjoy the "difficulties" of life, if there's nothing to contrast a state of being, feeling or existing then it wouldn't exist, so a little bit of chaos might be good for everyone.

  9. I liked the way you described. I agree with most of the things you said and the way that peace makes you feel. Sadly its not like that but at some point we all achieve that certain peace of mind.

  10. I think your interpretation of peace is the one we all wish we had. Its the one that reminds you of your childhood when the troubles of he world were not your own.

  11. Your interpretation of peace, doesn't sound cheesy to me, at all. I actually like what you said. Sitting on a cloud, would seem really peaceful. No one to like bother you, or to put you down, or anything bad. Just you, by yourself.

  12. I like the way you see peace and how you see you’re self with peace or having peace. I like how you have an imagination of a child and that is the best part because many people don’t really have that and you do that is great. I have not really though of peace in that way, and peace the world does not make you happy is the doing part the love you get from someone. =P

  15. I like the simplicity of peace, yet the thing about isolation is not something i totally agree with. you are not alone in the world and you socialize therefore society impacts on your life.
